Our Warm Home Discount scheme helps households that need it most with £135 towards their energy bills.

Together with the government, we’re running a scheme that helps the elderly, disabled and families on low incomes with their energy bills. If you’re eligible, or know someone who is, you or they could get an annual £135 towards their energy bills.

Who’s eligible?

Our Warm Home discount is available to anyone who is:

  • 75 or over and getting the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit
  • Under 75 and only getting the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit (you won’t qualify if you also get Saving Credit)

Or

  • Those in Receipt of Income Support, Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance or Income-related Employment and Support Allowance, AND also one of the following:
  • Child Tax Credit, disability premiums or disability living allowance

There are some specifics regarding eligibility and how the scheme works which you can find out here on our Warm Home Discount web page.

We estimate that our Warm Home Discount scheme will help over 200,000 customers in the next 12 months.

But we’re not stopping there. We’re offering free energy efficiency improvements– like A-rated boilers and insulation – to keep bills down.

There’s the npower Energy Fund  so we can help with outstanding energy bills.

We also operate a Priority Services Register which we call the Warm Response Service which is available if anyone in your household suffer from poor health, are elderly, or have a disability. It provides extra services such as large print, Braille or audio bills, a password scheme and quarterly meter reading.
